Their financial circumstances have become so dire that they chose to live for six days on the bare minimum of water and sleeping on cots and sleeping at the local. Boggiano along with her fellow protesters, some of whom have come from as far in San Francisco and Minneapolis, are hoping that the juxtaposition between a group of people actually putting their bodies on the line and the vibrant polish of a city putting on an enormous publically funded party will make people take note of the unfair working conditions that they're currently facing.
"I've never done anything like this in my entire life," Boggiano adds. "It's very difficult. However, I'm doing it because I'm required to. We're likely to stay for the sixth day. We're here, and I'm not giving up."
